What does this policy cover?
This policy describes Tidecue for Android, version 1.0.0, and its accompanying website. Tidecue is a visual observation and recall tool. You create its question slips.
Information you enter
What can I enter?
You may enter a study question, an answer key and a recalled answer. Avoid entering sensitive information unless you are comfortable keeping it on your device.
Questions and answer keys
What happens to my question and key?
Questions and answer keys are saved with the selected scene when you file a cue. The current working question and answer are retained as a draft so you can resume them.
Recall attempts
What stays from a recall attempt?
Each saved attempt retains recalled wording, the return choice, and a snapshot of the question and answer key used. The word comparison runs in the app. It is a text-overlap aid and does not assess learning ability or semantic correctness.
Return dates
How does a cue return?
Again makes a cue ready now. Soon sets its return date one day later; Keep sets it seven days later. Revisit any cue earlier if you like. Tidecue does not schedule system notifications.
Preferences
Which preferences are remembered?
The Reduce motion preference is saved by the app. Tidecue also respects a disabled Android animation-duration setting. These options do not change your saved study content.
Device storage
Where are my study records kept?
Cue records, draft text and preferences are saved in private app storage using Android SharedPreferences. Scene images are bundled with the application. The app does not upload study records.
Network behavior
Does the app send anything out?
The Android application has no Internet permission and makes no network requests. Study functions use content and storage within the installed app.
Permissions
Which device permissions are used?
This release requests no Android permissions. It does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, location, photo library or other apps’ private storage.
Software components
What software is inside the app?
Tidecue uses Android platform components and its own code. It contains no third-party advertising, analytics, account or remote-service SDKs.
Analytics and advertising
Are my sessions measured or advertised to?
Tidecue does not collect analytics, use advertising identifiers or display advertising. Diagnostics produced by Android or your device vendor follow their own settings and policies.
Accounts
Do I need an identity here?
Tidecue does not create an account or ask for a name, email address or password. Cues belong to the installation on the device where you made them.
Backups
Are my cues backed up or synchronized?
Android backup is disabled for Tidecue app data. The app provides no cloud synchronization or export. Device migration behavior outside the app is controlled by operating-system and device tools.
Deletion
How can I remove my work?
Open a saved question slip and select Delete this cue to remove the cue and its attempts. Android app-storage controls can clear all Tidecue data. Uninstalling removes its private storage. In-app deletion does not control device-level copies created outside the app.
Device security
What protects the device copy?
Device access and the operating system affect the privacy of local data. Tidecue has no separate app lock or encrypted vault. Use your device’s access protections as appropriate.
Website hosting
What changes when the website is hosted?
This supplied website contains informational pages and images. It has no forms, account system, analytics scripts or browser-storage features. Once hosted, the hosting provider may receive request information such as IP address and browser details. The publisher must provide hosting-specific terms.

Policy date: 7 September 2026. A later release that changes data handling should update this policy. Compare the version described above with your installed app.
